Much hype and Hoopla on AAP’s success in Delhi assembly elections have been created. The vibrancy rubbed on nearly one and all. People like us who chase the new horizon can be forgiven for thought of new dawn.  One on street hardly expected AAP to fulfill its promises in Manifesto but expected AAP to a give a try at transparent governance and give an honest try.  The hopes were raised as AAP managed their funds and donation during the election.

In the week that followed BJP did not indulge in horse trading though some attempts by BJP were reported. BJP’s CM nominee   Dr.HarshVardhan immediately took notice and asked other party functionaries to stop the rot.

The Congress always suffering from Icon worship was even quicker. It hurried into backroom classes and presentations with Rahul Gandhi as anchor. Jairam commented on suggestion by some thousands has been taken and the 2014 draft manifesto will be out in January.

Both Parties seem to be in a hurry to introduce the Lok Pal bill, not on agenda of winter session of the Rajya Sabha, citing Anna Hazare. Even ducks like me know why this fire fight from a” Cirane” .

Let us realize that we have placed many hopes in a single basket. Cynicism led by both Congress and BJP has started. The old guard is sharpening their knives. Traps are being set. “Inability to Fulfill Manifesto, going back from pre poll stand of nothing given, nothing taken” are reasons being cited for shrieking responsibility.

 Arvind , Yogendra Yadav  and party have been smart. AAP has pre empted many moves and stifled many others.

However the problem lies within, of the inner demons. Consider the new found intoxicant’s effect on the cadres. “Power certainly degrades thinking, vision.”People like Biwa’s, Ilmi, and Kolli have reestablished the fact.

 People are wise enough to realize that AAP cannot reduce electric bills, bring Lokpal at hat drop. They have taken much worse acts on Manifestos. Judgments from” Batakhs” will be based only on the manner of accessibility, transparency and ability to carry us along after EUPHORIA

Political anlyst are ready with reasons of failure of Congress to do well in the “semi-finale”. Much will written about failures of Congress leadership to react early.Certainely the INC has been at most reactive and even those reactions have been knee-jerk.

Why no second line of leadership  was developed in Delhi. The long incumbancy factor certainly takes a tool. If this was not thought of earlier, it speaks of the mindset of political think tank  of the party . after 2008 development  of a young leader  was necessary with power trandefer in mid 2011. It was thought of in MP but the reginal staraps delyed it.The advent of youth leader was too late. In Chattisgarh pacifying of Jogi was too late. After the death of  Patel and Karma,Jogi was the only chioce left.The congress think tank thought otherwise. Recent polls have shown that alternates happen in Rajasthan so why not try with a younger face.

The bigger problem however lies underneath.The political think tank is blank.The leaders who work as strategist are no match for Fotedars,Bhagats or Dhawans. The vaccum is more obivious on TV debates.With due respect to these poltical think tank leaders, they are only reactionaries.The political intrigues don’t require much vision and self rightoues.Much of the Congress think tank overrate themselves as visionarys or anlysts.Need of the the hour is pre empting political scenarios and have plans ready. The Congress has itself to blame.Ostrich Syndrome,Red Tapism,vaccum of political analysis,preparedness,inability to infuse youth and the most important ability to remove elitism of thought.

BJP on the other hand can be accused of thinking the same at National level.The benefit it has is mass based regional leaders ,who have creted a niche for themslves.The four chief mainisters that it has today excluding Modi are capable enough in political manovures.The harping by BJP of “Modi’ factor is hallonification at best.

Modern Social scientists define Democracy  as a mode of powersharing.

The earlier defintion “of ,by and for the people”  seems to be lost in hard realties ,democracies across the world face today.Truly the order of today is powersharing.The four pillars unbashedly share it.The legislature does it in the name of representation.The Excutive and Media do it in name of “for the people” and “building opinion”. Judicairy ofcourse harps on interpetation of laws for the mass.

Core of modern democracy ,lies in checks and balances.One wing keeping a watch on the other.Conflicts arise when power sharing equlibriam is questioned or new situations develop.The latter  arise  due to liberalisation,technology and developments not well difned in Constitutions. When the conflicts arise  ,Judiciary acts as interpertor of the Constitution.It is important to note that most of the conflicts have power sharing as core.

It has never been a natural  human quality to share what one holds.The same applies here too.These conflicts become acute if the parties involved is one of the four pillars. Established norms when challenged have never easy solutions espcially when the power is infested with one of the parties involved.

The situation become complex when it involves two or more pillars of democracy.Recent past has shown that in many cases , however uncomfortable the status quo prevails. The complexity of the conflict becomes more acute if some power is to be shredded to lower level in hiearchy of democratic pyramid.

A new trend has started.Smaller democracies  have just started using public voting as a method of resolving.However the fragmentation of society in these small countries is toatlly based upon ethencity,cultural ,linguastic or religion and not on economic lines.

 The four pillars Indian democracy are still not mature enough to read this vibrant signal emnating out of Globalisation and liberalisation.Corruption, undue previliges  enjoyed , incompetency  in these four estates  will not  die out on their own. There need to be a new factor and that is vibrant,demading,ethical but innovative.The last quality needed to remove cynism from masses.The most important factor should be ofcourse being from within the system.It is an established fact now that system can be improved better by remaining a part of system rather and pushing the limits than being an outsider and trying to pull.

The rising of this Fifth estate has started  nearly everywhere across the world where class divide cuts across ethnic,religious and lingo lines. Arab ,South America ,Eastern Europe are examples.India has seen it’s own share , Nirbhya,Anna e.t.c, even the large following of BABAs actually demonstrates that this fifth estate wants to assert.

Arvind Kejriwal realized the factors and took a bold step in forming a political party. AAP’s leaders have been smart enough to realize and have experimented  well.”बतख ” like all  will watch closely on their “holier than thou” and ‘whiter than cow” syndrome…

Of course to keep  out violence and vandalism  will be the biggest challenge.

Organizations Against Harassment at Work

1. Display of the committee members with telephone numbers at office and premises.

2.Regular meeting in different sections of committee within organisation.

3. Orientation training of all employees should be done regarding laws and rules related to sexual harassment at work.

4.Training of all women employees on Rights of women under Industrial and Office acts .

5 .In un organised sector the payment card or attendance card should have a leaf on their rights with telephone numbers of district level appelent authority.

Tarun Tejpal has been toast or untoast of Media for the last ten days.

How and when he reaches Airport,crime branch in Goa have been debated.What he converses with his brother,daughter and niece has been subject to debates.

I know my media friends will castigate me for telling an observer’s view.

The crust of the matter is too much has been penned sin on the unfortunate man and incident.Whatever media attention left was grabbed by Jollys,Sibbals,Bangus and other political party spokerspersons.The CCTV footage has fortunately been not telecast.Newspapers are fiiled with stories of bungling in company shares and connection with Ponty Chaddah.

Unfortunately the question of Women grievance commitees in case of sexual harrasment has taken backseat.Even in as early as   2004 when high profile case of a Public Sector company’s CMD was arrested  the committee was formed and then cover up was done.Nearly ten years from then it is the same old mistake.It happens in an organization where all employees are well educated,the girls in the office are well aware of rules and regulations.

Ironically one of the heads of the organization is a well known Journalist whose grip on current events is well respected.It seems that Ms.Choudhary tries to hush up things.The Girl is rightly admant ,the Editor forms a committee still tries to cajole the girl.

The workplace harrasement is a form of denying a fundamental right to a woman.Why does not National Commission on Women,Delhi Police,Goa Police,Ministry of Women take a stand.

Rabble Rouse

Except for the debate needed on article 370 ,which Narendra Modi stated in his Jammu rally,the other rallies of all parties  have yielded nothing of creative or constructive note.Rhetorics apart no concrete ideas have come forth in any of the speeched which I was fortunate enough to hear.Allegations,counter allegations,charcter assisnation have been the themes of the political rallies.The mantra was populism,wrongdoings of others and blah blah…

Even in TV debate the focus was on charcter assisnation .The Anchors now a days are smart enough to signal which sound byte is to be muted.The core issues lost in mud slinging mathes and ofcourse rabblle rousing.Candidly the level of debates specially on Hindi channels left a bad taste.Anchors has resorted to cardinal sins of interviewing like shouting ,interrupting ,asking longer questions than the answers,wasting too much to extract an answer which they think proper.Nothing constructive and no further insights on issue were coming.Though some anchors tried  to extract something meanigful.May be their attempts will bear fruit with less  commercial breaks.

The “Bhasa Shaili” and choice of words of the speeches leaves many  pen-dumbfounded.

None can deny the fact that these elections are gateway of 2014 general elections ,the results of which today seems to be like hornest nest and political nightmare in which allignments ,re allignments, breaking of typecast and much will happen.But none can also deny the fact that the level of rhetoric,allegations have been unprecetendent.Even setting aside what Media coverages do to our tounges ,the built up to 2013 has been only rabble rousing with no concrete .

Fear of the shrill remains till 2014  and thenafter heart falls ,heart breaks, divorces,re marriages,new live in 

AAP -the future catalyst of Corruption

How shrilling AAP's voices were?
Though shrilling , it  was musical  ,inspiring as well as soothing as it was voiced against corruption and rotten system. Even unsubsianted allegations seemed to be rays of hopes.
People like Yogendra Yadav and Arvind have built up credibility over years.
AAP was distressed in recent past by various factors ,it's ever vocal members had to keep mum on subjects,even refuse audience to some news channels.

Not taking into account the recent pessisism AAP has generated through the MEDIA Sarkar stings,Anna CDs ,The Matuarity of Mr.Bisaws and the singer and many the masses
 on street still hopes ........
However the scenario will get more distressing as the drama unfolds after the election results.
In case of likely hung assembly in Delhi elections AAP may land up as being a catalyst of corruption.In a small assembly like Delhi even a group of three MLAs can spoil a cart.
MLAs today are more than capble of extracting their pound of flesh.Hence more Aaya Rams and Gaya Rams......
Remember Kanshiram's BSP's had many breakways .Even today IBSP exists in Delhi and credits itself of first "Kinnar candidate".

How AAP proposes to tackle the first pitfall will be watched.

In the likely case of AAP winning some seats and unlikely case of holding together,the next pitfall will be euphoria die down management.Can they keep the flock together in absence of frevor, pitch and shrill AAP thrives upon.

How AAP captures GENNEXT in upcoming years is another question altogether.
How the mannerism of Mr.Biswas,Ms.Ilmi will go down with masses including ब त ख़ s like me .Ofcourse considering the fact that the core group of AAP is courageous enough to take the EMPIRE STRIKES BACK on chin.
Forget the cynicism AAP's failure will create in political sphere.
